The mystical beauty of the orchid has inspired many artists throughout time (and was a well documented Victorian passion). A flowering orchid is an inspiration not only for nature artists. To capture the beauty of the delicate form that blurrs the boundaries between nature and abstract is the essence of any artist inspired by the mysterious flower.
A touch of colour combined with seductive shapes transcends time and makes the orchid a striking decorative element for any interior. Ilona Biernot breathes life into two dimensional floral compsitions finding power and sensuality in the discarded and the delicate. You are invited to enter this world, and by chance catch a fleeting glimpse of that which might be a reflection from within.
